ABOUT_ “Missoni Loves Havaianas” was the perfect summer cocktail, resulting from the combination of two lucky ingredients: the famous zigzagged print of the Italian fashion wear brand Missoni and the distinctive design of the rubber flip-flop sandals created by the Brazilian footwear brand Havaianas. This summer affair was publicly exposed in the window shops of Havaianas stores all over Europe. As they themselves explained, “We have treated this project as if we were facing an actual work of art. The final outcome is intended to reflect this symbiosis of color and uniqueness, a bold, and above all, a fresh design, in the spirit of the new collection”.
In this sense and regarding the creative part, the colored threads imitating the typical Missoni geometric shapes were the most prominent feature together with a curious methacrylate heart and the letters reading the slogan “Missoni Loves Havaianas”. And so, just like a canvas on a pleasure cruise, this daring vibrant design spent the summer travelling across the exclusive shops of London, Paris, Saint Tropez, Rome, Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia.
